Recently 15,000 gallons of beef fat was spilled into a Houston shipping channel forcing its temporary closure as the fat congealed on the surface.
Pro-vegan groups were quick to jump on the accident as a way to promote the vegan diet. They say that just as the beef fat clogged the waterway, it clogs the arteries of meat eaters.
A group of doctors have even offered to partly pay for the clean up if the company causing the spill runs an ad that states "Clean up your arteries. Go vegan" .
Ok, well I would hope that being doctors and all, they would understand that beef fat entering the blood stream isn't quite the same as fat entering a cold waterway. I will spare everyone the biology lesson on how the body processes fat in the diet, but I sense a little distortion of the facts here.

Are vegans distorting the facts in order to promote their way of eating?
